hard to say goodbye...

i loved u then & i will still love u tomorrow.
but this rug has to GO!
it's such a sad day... this fuzzy, yummy, i know oh so popular rug is rolled up & being picked up by a lucky craigslister.
read on.
you see, it sheds like a mother f'er!! fuzzballs all over my house, in every corner & under all the beds. we have all hardwood, so it keeps showing it's fuzzy face in every little nook. i'm assuming it's like having a dog, or cat. but i don't, i had a rug. not the same. and camille has allergies...not a smart investment.
i loved it so much that i was hopeful that after a few good vacuums that it would lose it's shedding habits. not so much. even I was over it. so bye bye my rug. me and the little girls will miss u. we always  enjoyed rolling and playing on you. have fun in your new home. and just know that you were loved even with your issues.

i'm not mad at rugsusa.com because they gave me a smoking deal on this guy. but i will rethink the wool situation.

pinner - pinner chicken dinner....

everyday... actually every moment can take you to new heights when on pintrest.
i like the feeling.

feels like i need 2 of these buffalitos!! 1 for me, 1 for my sister. after escaping any "goring" by a    buffalo in yellowstone this summer, i do believe we need this print heidi.

feels homey.
feels like i want to eat that bread. and hang those shelves & experience those pulls.
                                                                feels familiar.
feels like i would like to move in. no for reals.
                                                         feels so comfortable.

feels like even I could wear this & that i want to wear this.

feels like i want to kill her. i better get that tan next week!
feels real. u rarely see the fun side of these 2.

feels like, well i don't know yet... beer float? i'm pretty excited to try this one.
scenes from the week.

i feel so confused...

this new year has quickly gotten itself all comfortable, while i'm still struggling to stamp in my pea brain the #'s 2013. there' s been a lot that has already gone down this year and we're only 15 days into it... how and what and who and where and???

i've had some opportunities allowing me to dip my toes in the design waters. nothing too crazy, but has been a real treat for the creative side of my brain to ramp up and be USED! i actually have a logo created, just needs a bit of refining. excited! thinking a logo will make me look a tiny bit legit?

my brother's home is wrapping up. i mean really wrapping up. like the front door is in, exterior paint should be happening as we speak, kitchen cabinets & sink are beautiful and people we have a toilet!! the process has been such a great experience for me. the really fun part is still to come...the decorating!!

think ALL white with brick. concrete slab to be poured this week. a real house is slowly transforming.
the light that this kitchen gets is ridiculous & so is this island. hand picked pieces of battleship wood wrapping the island and backsplash.
custom made just for the master of the house.
the massive master shower.
this bathtub is a serious stunner. the neighbors are gunna get a real show if i don't get on some window coverings ASAP!
have loved working with my brother & his contractor. it's a perfect trifecta -----> "i" tell them what we want, "he" says, ok i can get that and then the other "he" pays for it. brilliant! funny thing about boys..., if you aren't in a decision making conversation then they'll just go ahead and chose something that they like. it's been funny showing up to his home and seeing certain things that THEY decided on. luckily everything has pulled together pretty seamlessly except for the move in date. a teensy bit later than originally scheduled.

the best news of the year so far is that i get to give this fridged cold weather the middle finger while i fly away to meet my husband in warm warm hawaii next week. trying to shove my white chubby body into a bikini doesn't sound awesome, but imagining the warm sun on my fat back makes me melt just thinking about it. my fingers are frozen as i type this!!
wishing i /my butt would look like this in my suit... really big sighhhh.

thankful for my dad's 65th SURPRISE party... adventures, health & family this
2013th new year, seriously...thank you jesus!

poor me...

i gotta live with this guy? phssssstttt...poor me.
inching up on 16 years of marriage. i'm allowed to brag.
he's gunna kill me.
hey derek, you know what the kitty said right?

hard hard gettin' back to it... but this morning i kissed 3 little cheeks off to school & w/out distraction i can organize my thoughts & picts. after 2 weeks of sweet sweet vacation!!

2012 christmas house.
new spot for christmas tree this year, not sure i loved it...wasn't as cozy. kids decorated the tree. i've given up the control of a perfectly decorated tree. "elfy" our elf on the shelf successfully made all his little flights around our home except for maybe 2? he really is starting to be a pain. the magic of santa lives on in our 12, 10 & 7 year old ladies.
all this christmas house stuff is sitting on my dining room table waiting to be shoved back into their boxes my house feels naked & i will miss the glow of the lights.
puckett christmas!!
hosted my mom's side of the family this year. i think there were about 40 relatives in my home that eve. i loved it!! we caroled through our neighborhood like we used to do when we were younger. was really fun to bring back the tradition. made some of my neighbors cry. awwwwww.
easton's first christmas!!!
we were saying our christmas prayer. look at all the little hands that wanted to hold his.
love that little piggy.
visited marmie & armpie in their new home.
a new & must do family christmas morning tradition.
my family spent every single christmas at their home up in the chico area. while we have created new memories, the memories of christmas with them will NEVER be forgotten.
it was an emotional visit for all of us.
post christmas camping!!
this will be happening every year. it is so great leaving the chaos of the holidays for a few days of fresh air & quiet of camping. and honestly...i'm not ready after christmas to give up my family to play dates, laundry & honey do lists. loved disappearing for just us time.
but it was icy cold!!!!!! like freezing.
they made me go to the pool with them one night. seriously gnarly.
don't be too excited roche to be on that thing...

my cute friend lives up the street & wanted to experience camping w/ the roche's.
she came for wine & smore's. and then we realized she not only had secret reflectors on her jacket, but also her eyes!!! she did a rookie burned her ugg on the fire pit move too.
she's a funny girl. we laughed a lot that night. as usual.

guess what santa brought sophie? and guess who wanted to be her first client?
that curling iron makes some serious curls.
trying to snap camille's do. it was a huge bouffant! we were cracking up, crying laughing.
a wedding on new year's eve? sooooo fun!!! can we do that every year?
pict. is just because it was a fun excuse to wear hot pink tights & payless booties. heck yes.
i have no idea why i have fuzzy eyeballs in this pict. that's my cute date. always the cutest one at the party, even with the rat tail. see it? it's a conversation maker for sure.
it really just needs its own post in the future.

a really fun night with close friends and family. i believe we danced from 8:30pm-1:30am.
kissed a cute boy at midnight & kept dancing.
like everyone was dancing...
& then there was a lot of sweaty haired people doing some interesting/hysterical moves
by the wee-hours.
loved every minute of it.
cheers to a fresh new year with some new projects, paths, logos & dreams.
this is my year to BE, i can just feel it.
keep posted for what all that might entail... i'm curious myself.
